Your purpose is the reason you do what you do on a daily basis. Your "Why".

You hear coaches consistently talk about having a purpose for everything you do. You can view your purpose on a micro and macro level. 

Micro Level = Purpose for doing small things (drills, mechanics, oder of routines, etc.)


Macro Level = The bigger reason you are doing things (going to school at your college, studying what you are studying, playing baseball, etc.) 

Question: How much does having a purpose for everything you do affect your performance?

Answer : 100%. Your purpose gives you intention, motivation, and perspective to get you through the toughest times you will go through. 


Purpose Awareness Questions:

  • How well do you know or bring attention to your purpose on a daily basis?
  • How often do you think about why you are doing something before you do it?
  • If you knew your purpose, would it make your little failures not seem as important?
